The photovoltaic plant of San Juan (Argentina) witness to the Dakar Rally

On 4th January, Comsa Emte’s solar power plant in San Juan (Argentina) witnessed one of the stages of the Dakar Rally. The race, in which 28 pilots from all over the world participated, was the 33rd edition of the world’s most arduous rally raid race, which crosses the most remote areas of Argentina, Chile and Peru for two weeks.

The 1.2 MWp power plant located in the province of San Juan (Argentina) was inaugurated in April 2011. The Comsa Emte project, built with an investment of 10 million dollars, encompasses the market’s leading technologies (fixed structures and single or dual axis trackers), combined with the three most common panels (polycrystalline, monocrystalline  and amorphous silicon).
