Corporación CLD, the COMSA EMTE company specialising in urban waste collection and street cleaning, has obtained the Bequal seal, in recognition of its responsible work in connection with disabled people. The presentation of the distinction took place yesterday at the headquarters of the Bequal Foundation in Madrid.
During the ceremony, the president of CLD, Xavier Martí stressed that, throughout its 85 year history, the company has always been committed to equal opportunities, and recalled that at present people with disabilities represent 4.1% of the workforce.
CLD’s commitment translates into an active company policy to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities. This policy is integrated into different areas of the organisation, including human resources, and follows the principle that the management of diversity provides a source of talent.
