Egatel introduces a technology that improves transmitter performance

At the NAB Show in Las Vegas (USA), Egatel presented new configurations for energy-efficient, high- and medium-power UHF transmitters, both air- and liquid-cooled. The biggest novelty in the booth were the liquid-cooled TLE6800 transmitters, equipped with Doherty amplifiers that improve performance by up to 38%.

The company also exhibited its latest innovations in other market segments. In air-cooling, Egatel introduced transmitters based on the new 600 Wrms (DVB/ISDB) amplifier and, for DVB-T/-H/T2, ISDB-T/TB and ATSC standards, 1U 19″ exciters. Lastly, the company exhibited its low-power transposer technology.

The 2013 NAB Show, held from 8 to 11 April in Las Vegas, had over 90,000 professionals in attendance from 150 countries, and over 1500 exhibiting companies from the broadcast sector.
