08/28/2017 – Egatel, COMSA Corporación’s company specialized in radio frequency broadcasting systems, is the leader firm in the field of most innovative Galician companies of the Ardán 2017 report for the third consecutive year. Egatel has achieved the 5-star category in the Innovation ranking included in the Economic and Competitiveness report developed by the Consorcio de la Zona Franca de Vigo (Free Trade Zone of Vigo) in conjunction with the Galician Innovation Agency and REDE, part of the University of Vigo.
More than 40% of Egatel staff is directly involved in Research, Development and Innovation activities, particularly in the area of radiofrequency communications. Due to this commitment to the innovation, it has consolidated its position in the markets where it was already present and has continued the international expansion.
The supply of DVB-T2 transmitters for the roll out of the DTT Colombian network, the setting up of transmission centers in Algeria and Kenya, as well as the deployment of a 5+1 1,6 KW multi-transmitter system in Mali are some of the most outstanding projects recently developed.
This acknowledge adds to the INEO award for the most innovative product from the Official College of Engineers in Telecommunication of Galicia given to Smart LNB, a new transmitter/receiver that offers satellite TV connected services such as HbbTV, social networking, payment transactions, subscription-based management and on-demand services, as well as Machine to Machine (M2M) applications: e-Health, Smart Homes, Smart Metering, etc.
