COMSA Service, the maintenance and services division of COMSA Corporación, focuses on the healthcare sector as one of its main areas of growth. The company, which closed 2023 with a turnover of 114 million euros, has doubled sales in this area, from 8 million euros in 2022 to more than 16 million euros in 2023.
COMSA Service currently provides maintenance and specialised auxiliary services for hospital infrastructures and the healthcare sector in eight autonomous communities, both for the Public Administration and for recurring private clients.
Among the most outstanding projects are the multi-technical maintenance of the facilities of the Consorci Mar Parc Salut in Barcelona; the maintenance of the fire protection systems of the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre; the maintenance of refrigeration equipment and mechanical installations of the Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron and part of the primary care centres of the Servicio Madrileño de Salud (SERMAS) and of the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS).
Some of the adaptations and refurbishments carried out in 2023 include the extension and refurbishment of the services building at the Reina Sofía Hospital in Murcia to host the Regional Public Health Laboratory, the refurbishment of the Barbastro Hospital (Huesca) for the installation of a magnetic resonance imaging unit and several technical rooms for the installation of Philips equipment all over Spain, among others.
30 years specialising in maintenance
COMSA Service, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary, is consolidated in the maintenance and energy efficiency sector thanks to its high degree of specialisation in facility management and property management, as well as in the optimisation of energy resources.
Among the most important contracts in 2023 are the maintenance of electrical installations, lighting and air conditioning equipment in Renfe passenger stations in Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country and Castilla y León; the maintenance of electrical installations in the ports of the Generalitat de Catalunya; the comprehensive maintenance of the installations in the buildings of the central services of the State Tax Administration Agency in Madrid, and the maintenance of air conditioning and hot water installations in the municipal buildings of Sevilla, for example.
Likewise, COMSA Service carries out international projects, including the maintenance of more than a hundred ornamental fountains in the city of Paris, among others.
The company, with headquarters in Barcelona and Madrid, has a workforce of 1,800 people and is present in practically all of Spain.
