Work begins on the Iznalloz-Darro highway in Granada

The Minister of Public Works and Housing, Josefina Cruz Villalón, in her function on the Board of Andalusia, presided over the laying of the foundation stone of the future highway A-308 Iznalloz-Darro Granada. This is the first road in the infrastructure of Andalusia whose implentation, maintenance and operation is carried out through a gran managed by a consortium of companies that are part of COMSA EMTE.

The highway is an investment of 200 million euros and is to be carried out in 32 months. In this first stage, the concessionaire has begun preliminary work consisting of prospecting and geotechnical surveying.

37 kilometers long, the A-308 will connect the highways A-92 and A-44 via Jaén-Madrid-Bailén. The new road will prevent the passage of long-haul traffic from the metropolitan area of Granada and will reduce by 25 miles the route between the interior of Andalusia and the Costa Almería. It also aims to link: Iznalloz, Píñar Bogarre, Moreda, Huélago and Darro.
