The Board of Directors of Adif has awarded Travipos a contract for the supply of concrete sleepers for the conventional rail network in Catalonia, Valencia and Murcia, for a period of twelve months.
The COMSA EMTE subsidiary company will supply monoblock sleepers of both Iberian gauge and metric gauge, which will be to meet the requirements for construction, repairs and spare parts in the conventional network of the three communities. This work, which will be implemented in a joint venture with Drace Infraestructuras, consolidates the position of Travipos as a leading supplier for Adif, which it also supplies with sleepers for the main high-speed lines.
Along with this contract, the Spanish rail infrastructure manager has awarded three other contracts for the supply of sleepers in the other regions of the country, with a total budget of 10.3 million euros.
