The Railway Innovation Hub Spain fosters the innovation of the railway technology

05/24/2018 – This past May 9th, Adif and The Railway Innovation Hub Spain, an initiative where COMSA Corporación is a founding member, agreed on procedures for fostering innovation in the railway sector. The event took place at the Ministry of Public Works’s main office and was attended by Minister Iñigo de la Serna.

The purpose of this procedure is to promote competitiveness in the railway sector by fostering innovation and at the same time, laying the foundations for collaboration in activities related with scientific research and technological development. The launching of this initiative will allow companies comprising the Hub to carry out projects and programmes to improve the Spanish railway sector and promote their leadership outside Spain’s borders.

In addition to the Minister of Public Works, the event was attended by Juan Bravo, President of Adif and Juan Elizaga, President of The Railway Innovation Hub Spain. In representation of COMSA Corporación, the event was attended by Valentí Fontserè, Director of Innovation and Juan Enseñat, Director of Infrastructures.

The Railway Innovation Hub Spain is a private cluster comprised of 49 companies covering the sector’s entire value chain and its purpose is to promote the international presence of the Spanish railway ecosystem.
