The Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos de Galicia (Galician Association of Civil Engineers) today handed out the XII Premio San Telmo for the arrival of the High Speed Railway in Galicia. COMSA was one of the award-winning companies, and received the recognition for the execution of the branch line connection with the conventional line in Taboadela, and for the platform works of the La Canda-Vilavella Tunnel section (Ourense).
Juan Enseñat, general director of COMSA, received the diploma for the La Canda-Vilavella Tunnel project on behalf of the company. For his part, Luis de la Rubia, site manager for the project to connect the branch line with the conventional line at Taboadela, was awarded a diploma for his work on the project.
The event also included the presentation of the book “Diseño y velocidad. El diseño de los puentes del AVE de Galicia”. In addition, a round table was held with the participation of María Luisa Domínguez, president of ADIF; Carlos Nárdiz, director of the Revista de Obras Públicas; and José Romo, CEO of FHECOR and editor of the book.
