COMSA to enlarge the OHIM headquarters in Alicante

The Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM), the European Union agency responsible for registering trade marks in the European Community, has awarded the joint venture that includes COMSA the contract for work to enlarge its headquarters in Alicante. The project aims to increase the facility by 37,000 square metres and will allow the OHIM to take on a greater volume of activity.

Work includes a new three-storey building, connected to the existing facilities, gardens and an auditorium with a capacity for 450 people. Work will begin in early 2013 and will have a lead time of 18 months. Upon completion of the work, the OHIM will have a total built surface of around 80,000 square meters.
