COMSA has participated in the preparation of AENOR Handbook of Environmental Indicators in the Construction Industry. All the major companies in the sector have worked together on the publication.
The aim of the handbook is to establish a set of standards for measuring the environmental impact of construction activities. The data will also provide smaller companies with indicators that will allow them to improve environmental behaviour.
Furthermore, providing the industry with a set of common standards will make it possible, in the medium and long term, to carry out more accurate assessments of organizations’ commitment to environmental issues. Other areas, such as Quality and the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) models, already have tools of this type at their disposal.
