03/10/2019 – COMSA Corporación has been awarded the contract for the work to extend the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) Plaça Catalunya station, the Vallès line station that receives the highest volume of passengers.
The work will take place over a period of 15 months, during which time the company will execute the extension of platforms 1 and 2 on the Las Ramblas side by 28.35 metres and 21.6 metres respectively. Additionally, as regards platforms 3 and 4, the extension will be 22.92 and 19.59 metres towards Carrer de Balmes in Barcelona.
The contract will also cover the extension of the area of the lobby by 13% to reach 533 square metres and the installation of new escalators and lifts.
