Progress of the works for the duplication of the BR-101 road in Brazil

COMSA continues to make progress in the construction of the BR-101 highway in the state of Alagoas (Brazil). After the opening to traffic of 12 new km of duplicated lanes (km 92 to km 104) last December, the construction company has started the second phase of the work on lot 4, which begins in the municipality of Rio Largo (km 92.21) and which will mean the completion of the 47.11 km of duplication planned for this section.

In 2020, COMSA delivered a total of 18 km of duplicated rail and two overpasses. The first stage was carried out in June with the entry into service of the first 6 km, between km 124 and km 130, and the opening to traffic of the viaduct that crosses BR-101 with the state road AL-220. The second was in December and included the commissioning of the viaduct that allows the intersection between BR-101 and BR-316.

The BR-101 duplication project will increase safety for users of the federal highway and improve communication between the various localities in the state of Alagoas.
