This year on, April 25th , 26th and 27th, EMTE Systems participed in the 1st Strategic Maintenance Symposium (SIMAES), in Ciudad del Carmen (Mexico). An event organised by the oil company Pemez with the objective to analyse the issues and projects that enable their subsidiary. ‘Pemex Exploration and Production’, to maximize the economic value of maintenance areas.
EMTE Systems and EMTE facilities had a stand and actively participated in the conference. The commercial director of EMTE Systems in Mexico for the industrial area, Carlos Gonzalez, received the award for the best lecture with a paper on security systems for control networks. The company has already undertaken its first projects for Pemex, such as the installation of a hot tapping 54″ gas duct at its refinery in Tula. They now aim to install monitoring facilities on offshore oil platforms. In collaboration with EMTE Installations they are also preparing tenders related to radio-relay networks and centralised control systems.
During three days SIMAES gathered the Pemex Exploration and Production staff with leading suppliers from the sector. Through lectures, technical workshops and round tables, the participants could interexchange experiences and knowledge in the areas of maintenance and operation of gas compression equipment, electricity generation, automation and security.
