EMTE Sistemas reinforces its presence in Latin American airports

EMTE Sistemas has now provided its services in eleven airports in Latin America, in the scope of air navigation, with a cost of 12 MEUR.

For the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) in México, backed by Aena Internacional, the company has carried out the updating of the electrical systems and the supply and installation of a signage system at the Airport of Guadalajara, the country’s third largest, as well as the installation of twelve fixed and mobile boarding bridges at the airports of Puerto Vallarta, San José del Cabo and Tijuana.

In Peru, for the Corporación Peruana de Aeropuertos y Aviación Comercial (CORPAC S.A.), it has taken charge of the purchase and installation project of the Integrated Aircraft Navigation System CAT III for the Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima. In the Airport of Malvinas, the company has installed the runway lighting system for Pluspetrol, the owner of the oil exploration site situated in the middle of the Peruvian Amazon.

In Ecuador, it has supplied an operating DVOR/DME for the Airport of Francisco de Orellana in Coca, the runway signage and power at the Airports of Esmeraldas, Salinas and Santa Rosa, as well as an operating ILS/DME for the Airport of Lago Agrio. All of this has been carried out for the Dirección de Aviación Civil (DAC).

EMTE Sistemas also hopes to obtain its first contracts in airports of Argentina, Chile and Colombia during 2012.
