COMSA Corporación committed to the aeronautical engineering

International Civil Aviation Day (7th of December). Coinciding with the celebration of the International Civil Aviation Day, COMSA Corporación wants to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to raise the public awareness of the importance of civil aviation in the social and economic development of our country.

In addition to the projects related to the railway sector, throughout its 125 year of operations COMSA has also conducted construction, rehabilitation and maintenance works in the main Spanish airports including the parking dock platform of the T4 of the airport Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas and the new terminal of the airport Francisco de Orellana in Ecuador among others.

Likewise, COMSA Industrial has recently adjudicated the renewal works for the new passengers boarding bridges and the handling auxiliary equipment in seven positions in the terminal 2 of the airport of Malaga-Costa del Sol. The project involves the design and the manufacturing of the abovementioned boarding bridges and the rest of the necessary equipment, as well as their proper installation, assembly and start up after the dismantling of the existing facilities. The works also included all the necessary civil works and electric and control installations. The project consists on substitute the ILS CAT I by a new ILS CAT II in the runway no. 28 in the Polish infrastructure, including training courses for the technicians of PANSA (Polish Air Navigation Services Agency). This is the third ILS that COMSA Industrial have executed for the organization and the seventh Polish airport in which have done several contracts after those in Varsovia, Rzeszów, Lodz, Gdansk, Cracovia and Wroclaw.
