COMSA Corporación’s Industrial business continues its expansion in Latin America, where there is a high demand for communication networks. The company has been awarded two new engineering contracts in Colombia, worth 18 million euros, related to the installation of ITS (Intelligent Traffic Systems) systems in the Sinifaná and Amagá tunnels on the Conexión Pacífico 1 Highway, as well as in the Mulatos Tunnel in the Pacifico 2.
COMSA Industrial will execute the project for the supply, installation and commissioning of the ITS systems for the tunnels of the highway between Bolomolo – Camino C. – Ancón Sur. The works will be carried out in two parallel tunnels of 1,500 meters (Sinifaná) and another two of 3,500 meters (Amagá), in which the company will also execute the maintenance for 2 years of the SCADA control system, the PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller), communications, ventilation control, lighting, fire detection and extinction, signaling and radars, among other services.
Moreover, the company has also been awarded the contract for the supply, installation and commissioning of the control SCADA, the PLCs and the communications of the 2 parallel tunnels of Mulatos which are 2,500 meters long. The execution period is 6 months.
COMSA Industrial is currently implementing traffic control systems in the third third of the Bogotá-Villavicencio Corridor and also in La Linea tunnels located in the Cordillera Central of the Andes.
