COMSA EMTE has become a collaborating company in the Tarragona 2017 Mediterranean Games, a sports competition organised within the framework of the Olympic movement and which brings together the countries of the Mediterranean region every four years. The agreement was formally approved this morning by the Mayor of Tarragona and president of the Organising Committee of the Games, Josep Felix Ballesteros, and the managing director of COMSA EMTE, Josep Miarnau.
During the signing of the agreement, Miarnau confirmed that “the company has its origins in the Camp de Tarragona in 1891 and maintains very special links with the area. Therefore, we are very pleased to collaborate with the Mediterranean Games and promote a project that will help to improve the infrastructure of the city and invigorate it on a social, economic and cultural level.”
For his part, the mayor of Tarragonaemphasized that “today’s signing is another great piece of news. It is also special because we have signed with a fellow traveller born in our territory. To have at our side collaborating companies such as COMSA EMTE, an international leader in the world of infrastructure and engineering, and for whose confidence we are tremendously grateful, makes us extremely happy.”
The event was held in the Tarragona Town Hall and, in addition to the parties who signed, also involved the presence of the director general of Tarragona 2017, Ramon Cuadrat.
