COMSA Industrial, the engineering division of COMSA Corporación, has been awarded two important contracts tendered by Aena. The projects, which will be implemented at Malaga and Palma de Mallorca airports, include the design and execution of the photovoltaic installation project for self-consumption.
In the Malaga airport project, COMSA Industrial will install – in a joint venture with BTG and Prodesur – photovoltaic panels with an installed capacity of 6.44 MW peak. The installation will be divided into three photovoltaic fields, each of which will have its own Transformer Centre.
At Palma de Mallorca airport, the works will be executed with BTG and comprise a photovoltaic installation with an installed capacity of 5.11 MW peak. The contract includes the installation of six photovoltaic fields located on the existing canopies in the airport car parks and includes the installation of 110 KW peak with flexible type photovoltaic panels. Each car park will have a Transformer Centre and the power generated will be unified in a Distribution Centre located in the vicinity of the Power Plant.
In addition, these photovoltaic systems, using String technology, will have an automatic module disconnection system to optimise the performance of the installation.
Both contracts include the drafting of the construction project, as well as the execution of the work, the obtaining of all administrative permits for the commissioning of the installation, as well as the maintenance service during the warranty period.
