Line 6 of Metro de Madrid will be the first automatic line in its entire network. COMSA and COMSA Industrial, together with Faiveley Transport, will install the platform doors on its 70 platforms, totalling 6.4 kilometres. This work will improve safety by separating the passenger waiting area from the train traffic area and, from an operational point of view, will increase the regularity of the service and transport capacity.
In addition, the work will ensure that unauthorised access to the tunnels is blocked and will keep the track area clean.
Moreover, COMSA, in a joint venture with TECSA, will renew the track superstructure on line 6 between Laguna and Avenida de América stations.
These actions reinforce the group’s commitment to safer, more sustainable and efficient public transport.
