World Environment Day

At COMSA Corporación, for the first year, we measured 100% of the greenhouse gas emissions caused by our activities around the world.

The result of this process shows that the activities carried out in 2022 generated a total of 18,494.40 Tn of Scope 1-2 CO2 (from our operations) and 203,375.3 Tn of Scope 3 CO2 (from the value chain). The assessment methodology complies with international standards ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol and has been validated by an independent entity.

In recent years, the company has already carried out various initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, such as the modification of construction solutions, the replacement of materials with others of renewable origin, the recovery and reuse of excess material in the works, the promotion of the use of electrical tools and equipment and the development of sustainable innovation projects.

In 2023, work is also being carried out on the company’s Decarbonisation Plan, which will include the establishment of SBTi emission reduction targets and will affect all the company’s activities with a view to 2023 and 2050.

In addition, with the priority focus on the promotion, construction and management of sustainable infrastructures, the group’s climate strategy is oriented towards responsible environmental management from a preventive perspective. For this reason, an analysis of climate risks and opportunities in the short, medium and long term has been carried out following the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
