This morning took place the ceremony to lay the first stone of the new Elhis logistics centre in Illescas (Toledo), the most technologically advanced in the hardware sector in Spain, the construction of which will be carried out by COMSA Corporación. The event was attended by personalities from the political and economic spheres of the Castilla-La Mancha region, who valued very positively the company’s strategic vision for the realisation of this project in La Mancha.
The delegation was headed by Emiliano García Page, president of the Community of Castilla-La Mancha, accompanied by Patricia Franco, regional minister of Economy, Business and Employment, and Francisco Javier Rosell, director general of Business. Álvaro Gutiérrez, president of the Diputación de Toledo and José Manuel Tofiño, mayor of Illescas, were also present.
Ehlis, S.A. is the managing company of Cadena88, that groups 1425 hardware stores in Spain. As part of its environmental management policy, Ehlis has chosen to locate its new logistics centre at the Iberum Central Platform in Illescas (Toledo). It is one of the first eco-polygons in Europe, which bases its activity on sustainable development principles and has excellent high-capacity communication routes.
On a 60,000 m2 plot of land and with an investment of 30 million euros, the first 22,000 m2 building will be executed and will be ready to serve Cadena88’s hardware stores in July 2022.
