AVIC International, a business group of Chinese origin, and COMSA Corporación formalised the purchase/sale of Aritex last Friday. With this transaction, the construction company sells 100% of its shareholding in Aritex, a company specialising in automation technology for the aerospace and automotive sectors.
Founded in 1961, Aritex focuses on the design, construction and assembly of automatic facilities for automotive and aircraft manufacturing. The company has become a partner of reference for the principal manufacturers of aircraft (Airbus, Bombardier and COMAC, among others) and cars (Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, Nissan, Citroen, Seat, etc.). In addition to its headquarters in Badalona (Barcelona), it has offices and production centres in Puebla (Mexico), Seattle and Wichita (United States), Shanghai (China), Sao Paulo (Brazil), and Heilbronn (Germany).
The sale of Aritex is part of the COMSA Corporación plan involving the divestment of non-strategic business areas of the group. In the same vein, last March the company formalised the sale of its stake in the environmental company Corporación CLD.
