The technology company INVAP (Applied Research) has awarded Egatel a contract to provide highly efficient transmitters – WHET (Wideband High Efficiency Transmitters) series wideband, in the extension of the DTT network operated by ARSAT in Argentina.
The project consists of the supply of seventeen liquid-cooled 1.7 kWrms ISDB-T standard TV transmitters, TLWH7802 model, and dual-drive configuration for 14 broadcast sites. In particular, for centres with two transmitters, the facility includes a multi-transmitter integration that uses the same in-rack liquid-cooling system.
When awarding the contract, INVAP assessed the extensive background of Egatel in the manufacture of digital TV transmitters, its experience in the development of high efficiency units, as well as its flexibility to adapt the end solution. The subsidiary of COMSA EMTE thus consolidates its activity on the Latin American market, where it has executed contracts in countries including Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Panama, and particularly in Argentina, with projects for the operators Canal del Viento and Compañía de Circuitos Cerrados de TV.
