CLD obtains the Bequal seal for its inclusive disability policy

Corporación CLD, the COMSA EMTE company specialising in urban waste collection and street cleaning, has obtained the Bequal seal, certifying its commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities in the company, through policies and procedures based on the principle that the management of diversity provides a source of talent.

The Bequal Foundation, responsible for granting the seal, praised CLD’s commitment to social responsibility, which has been a very important part of its management since the company’s foundation in 1888, and is a result of its cooperative origins. The company promotes integration within the different areas of its organisation and today people with disabilities account for 3.21% of its workforce.

The Bequal Foundation is a body established by the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI), the ONCE and Seeliger y Conde foundation, and the Spanish Business Federation of Associations of Special Employment Centres (FEACEM). Its seal certifies the commitment of companies to disability issues in essential areas such as strategy and leadership, management of human resources, compliance with standards and inclusive and equal opportunities policies in the selection process, access to employment, career development and training.
