Egatel, a COMSE EMTE group company specialising in radio and television digital broadcasting systems, has participated again at this year’s NAB Show in Las Vegas, one of the world’s most important exhibitions for the broadcasting sector. Between 16 and 19 April, the company presented its latest developments in television transmitters.
Outstanding among these are the high efficiency transmitters – the broadband WHET (Wideband High Efficiency Transmitters) series – equipped with Doherty technology which optimises the efficiency of the equipment. It also exhibited the ‘Smart LNB’, a latest generation electronic device, developed by the satellite operator Eutelsat and implemented by Egatel, which opens the door to a wide range of satellite TV services, such as HbbTV, Social Networks, on-demand content consumption and purchase transactions, among others.
In this edition, NAB Show has achieved record participation with over 100,000 visitors, 25% of them from abroad. In total 1,789 exhibitors took part, representing 164 countries.
