Last Friday saw the inauguration of the Centro de Formación Profesional de la Automoción (Professional Automotive Training Centre) in Martorell (Barcelona), a facility that aims to promote a new model of integrated training specifically for this sector, and whose facilities have been executed by EMTE.
More specifically, the engineering company was responsible for the installation of medium and low voltage supplies, air conditioning and ventilation, fire detection and extinction systems, communications, access control and security, voice and data systems.
The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Catalan Government, Artur Mas, the Ministers of Education and Enterprise and Employment, Irene Rigau and Felip Puig, respectively, and the Mayor of Martorell, Salvador Esteve, among other important public figures. COMSA EMTE was represented by its CEO, José Miarnau, and the director general of Engineering, Guillermo Lorenzo.
With an area of 10,000 square metres, the centre has a building in the form of a workshop to carry out all kinds of training activities related to the automotive sector (mechanics, robotics, pneumatics etc.), and a total of 39 classrooms. It also has laboratories, technical rooms and changing rooms, as well as other facilities. Once fully operational, it is estimated that it will be able to accommodate up to 14,000 students.
