EMTE participates in a conference on Occupational Risk Prevention organised by Gas Natural Fenosa

On 8 May EMTE participated as a collaborating company in a conference organised by Gas Natural Fenosa in Madrid to evaluate the progress of its Visible Commitment Plan for Health and Safety, which aims to reduce workplace accidents in the energy company.

Roberto Castaño, head of Occupational Risk Prevention at COMSA EMTE and Carlos Camín, Group Leader in the Division of Electrical Installations at EMTE, shared with the audience the experience of the company in the implementation of the ZERØ Plan, an initiative launched in 2011 by COMSA EMTE which integrates accident prevention within all levels of the organisation and establishes mechanisms to detect and neutralise potential risks, with the ultimate objective of achieving the goal of zero accidents..

During their presentations, Castaño and Camín pointed out that the experience, needs and concerns of Gas Natural Fenosa had been very helpful in developing the ZERØ Plan and highlighted the creation of a specific action plan for the work carried out for this customer.

The conference was chaired by Antoni Peris, Managing Director of Regulated Business at Gas Natural Fenosa and involved, among other officials, Carlos Lopez, Director General of Industry of the Community of Madrid, and the directors of the businesses of Gas and Electricity Distribution at Gas Natural Fenosa in Spain, José María Gil and Blanca Losada, respectively.
