COMSA aporta su experiencia ferroviaria para ampliar el metro de Ankara

The Spanish company COMSA has completed construction of the Batikent-Sinçan line (M3) of the Ankara Metro, with a total length of31.3 kilometresand 11 stations (two underground and the rest above ground). COMSA has been responsible for the civil engineering works, the architecture, the infrastructure and superstructure, and the electrical and mechanical work necessary for the commissioning of the line, which has been opened today at a ceremony presided over by the Spanish President, Mariano Rajoy, and the Turkish Prime Minister, Tayyip Erdogan.

The works have had an implementation period of 24 months and an investment of 44.5 million euros, and have been carried out jointly with the Turkish company Açilim Insaat. In the same Ankara Metro, COMSA will complete work on the Kizilay-Çayyolu (M2) line in the coming months, which include33 kilometresof track, all of it in tunnels, and 11 stations.

Other COMSA projects in Turkey

The extension of the Ankara Metro comes after the recent completion of the circular tram line in the city of Bursa, which is already in the operational phase. Work on this project included the construction of a total of seven kilometres of single track circular tram line, 13 stations, a maintenance centre, infrastructure, superstructure, electrification and signalling.

Also, COMSA will soon complete the construction of tram Line 3 for the city of Gaziantep, a project valued at about 20 million euros.  The new layout consists of a total of 6.5 kilometres of double track line, with eight stations and three substations. In addition to the infrastructure, COMSA is also responsible for the electrification and signalling of the line.
