COMSA EMTE shares its experience in the CERN at a CEOE conference

On 28 October COMSA EMTE participated in a conference in Madrid organized by the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE) to discuss the positive impact that science and research have on the improvement of the business sector. The meeting specifically focused on the contribution of Spanish companies to the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN) and how this collaboration facilitates the transfer of knowledge and technology.

COMSA EMTE was represented by Guillermo Lorenzo, General Manager of Engineering, and Valenti Fontserè, Technology and Innovation area manager, who shared with those present the experience of the Group in implementing engineering and innovation projects for the CERN.

During his speech, Fontserè stressed the path of COMSA EMTE in the field of research, which has, in addition to collaborating with the CERN, implemented projects for the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in Grenoble; the ITER, the world’s largest nuclear fusion installation, in Cadarache; the Sanofi laboratories in Toulouse; the Centre for Studies and Experimentation of Public Works (CEDEX) at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment; or the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park.

The event was attended by the General Manager of the CERN, Rolf -Dieter Heuer; the Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation, Carmen Vela; the director of International Programmes at the Centre for Industrial Technological Development, Juan Carlos Cortés, and other representatives of companies that collaborate with the CERN.
