The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) has awarded COMSA a 23 million euro contract for the renovation of the tracks, overhead line and systems at the Green Light Rail Center, the maintenance centre for the light train network in San Francisco (United States).
The aim of the project is to replace and refurbish the light train system and the works include: track replacement, replacement of the overhead line system, updating of the control systems, improving the drainage and lighting of the operating area, installation of new surfaces and the installation of the boarding platform as well as an access for the disabled, etc.
This award strengthens COMSA’s position in foreign railways, where it has worked on the tramways of Melbourne (Australia), Porto (Portugal), Turin (Italy), Warsaw (Poland), Toulouse (France), Manila (Philippines) or Dublin (Ireland), among others.
