As part of its business internationalization strategy, EMTE Cleanroom Technology took part in the first edition of Algeria Pharma (Algiers, 25-27 September), an international trade exhibition for pharmaceutical industry suppliers, which aims to become the industry’s benchmark event in North Africa.
Thanks to its own stand, the company was able to present its latest innovations at an event which brought together 80 exhibitors from 17 countries. The trade fair was officially opened by Mohamed Mansouri, who is in the running to become the future director of the new Medicines Agency which the Algerian government plans to set up in the coming months in a determined bid to invest in the development of the country’s pharmaceutical industry.
At present, Algeria is the second biggest African market for the industry, behind South Africa, and its short-term goal is to increase domestic output by 30 to 70%. EMTE Cleanroom Technology has extensive experience in the Algerian market, where it has executed air treatment installation works for biopharmaceutical companies such as Taphco and Roussel Santé.
