EMTE Service wins contract for the operation and maintenance of the light and sound show at the “Alcázar” fortress in Córdoba

Córdoba City Council recently awarded EMTE Service a contract to operate and maintain the water, light and sound show at the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, (“Fortress of the Christian Monarchs”), one of the city’s most representative monuments. A spectacular combination of video projections, advanced lighting techniques and cybernetic musical fountains, the show forms part of a night-time tour that takes visitors through the history and culture of Córdoba.

The project was designed and executed one year ago by EMTE Service, leading Córdoba City Council to consider the need to cover the operation and maintenance service.

Like all the fountain projects previously carried out by EMTE Service, this one has also counted on the company’s longstanding collaboration with Oficina Técnica Buigas.

In this new contract, EMTE Service provides a comprehensive operation service in the broadest sense, given that it is responsible for the organization and technical control of the show, staff management according to the influx of visitors, ticket sales, access control, switching the various systems on, as well as maintenance of the audiovisual equipment and the fountains.

The show takes place every night and forms part of a Council initiative to promote a range of alternative leisure options in the historic centre of Córdoba.

Among other projects, EMTE Service has recently been entrusted with the design and installation of an interactive musical fountain in the Splau shopping centre in Cornellá de Llobregat, and a geyser fountain installed in Moraleja (Cáceres) was inaugurated in July.
