The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has awarded EMTE Sistemas the supply and installation of an air traffic control system (CNS/ATM) for the first airport in the country, located in the capital, Kathmandu. The project, valued at $3.1 million, aims to modernize the entire navigation system in the Asian country.
Thus, the company, through its Airports, Maritime and Defence Division has obtained its first contract in the competitive market of airport technology in Asia. The award of this project is part of the internationalization strategy that EMTE Sistemas is pursuing.
In this regard, EMTE Sistemas has a significant presence in the air navigation industry in Latin America, where it has been awarded several contracts in recent months in Mexico, Peru andEcuador. It has provided services in 11 airports in the area to date.
