Jordi Miarnau Banus has been awarded the ‘Premio de Honor’ by the Tarragona Business Confederation (CEPTA). The honorary president of the group collected the award on 18th April during the celebration of “Business Night”. This is an annual event held by CEPTA to distinguish companies and professionals in the province.
The jury honoured Miarnau’s career who for four decades led COMSA EMTE. He achieved, among other milestones, the professionalization of the company, its territorial expansion into Spain and the internationalization of the group into other countries such as Chile, Argentina and Portugal .
Born in Reus, Jordi Miarnau Banus maintains strong personal and professional links with the ‘Camp de Tarragona’. He also works on charitable projects through the ‘Fundació de L’Escola Internacional del Camp’ (FEIC), which at the moment he is patron.
The “XII Business Night” was chaired by Francesc Xavier Mena, the minister for companies and employment of the Generalitat of Catalonia. During the event CEPTA gave awards to a total of 27 companies and professionals in the province, such as Maverick Laboratories, Bayer MatrialScience or engineering company Proacit.
