COMSA participates in the First International Conference on Railway Technology

COMSA has actively participated in the first International Congressof Railway Technology: Research, Development and Maintenance (Railways of 2012). Carlos Saborido, from the group’s Technology and Innovation area, in his presentation theorized on the innovation project jointly developed by COMSA and the UPC which is financied by the Ministry of Development

The purpose of the project is to optimize the isolation systems against vibration and noise produced by railways. In particular they focus on the design of new insulation systems made from recycled used tyres (NFU), this technology can obtain a sustainable product with maximum efficiency in reducing vibration.

The Congress held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria between 18th and 20th April was organized in order to provide opportunities for scientists and engineers to meet and discuss current research, new concepts and ideas. Furthermore, its aim is to establish opportunities for future collaboration in all aspects ofrailway technology.
